Extra
virgin olive oil produced in the D.O.P. zone of Mompeo, a village
in the Sabina area of central Italy, where the tradition of cultivating
olives dates from the Second Century BC.
The high quality of this Italian olive oil is a result of the microclimate
of this hilly area, about 450 metres above sea level, as well as
the lime-rich soil - loose, well drained and dry - and the olive
groves themselves which are planted in the traditional, high density,
way.
